Formulation and evaluation of the cream made from potassium azeloyl diglycinate as an anti-aging

Research Summary

Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate has the ability to moisturize the skin, regenerate cells, increase skin elasticity, and hide fine lines. This research aims to explore the stability and effectiveness of an anti-aging cream made from Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate in regenerating and hydrating the skin. The anti-aging cream formulation was created by varying the concentration of Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate (0%, 3%, 5%, 7%), and the physical properties stability was then evaluated.

The best formula was tested for its ability to regenerate skin cells in mice with erythema, as well as its capacity to hydrate the skin of human respondents. Additionally, the antioxidant activity of pure Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate was compared with Vitamin C as the positive control.

The results showed that the F2 Cream had the best physical properties and stability evaluation results. It also demonstrated a better ability to regenerate mouse skin cells compared to both the positive and negative control groups, with the erythema diameter reduced to 4.33±4.04 mm. The F2 Cream was also effective in increasing skin moisture among 12 human respondents who participated in the research.

However, the results of the antioxidant activity test revealed that Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate belonged to the "very weak" antioxidant group (IC50: 83.946.587 ppm), while Vitamin C was classified as a "very strong" antioxidant (IC50: 1.684 ppm).
